The Center for Advanced Transportation Technology Laboratory (CATT Lab) got to show off its impressive research at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA) 2009 Annual Meeting. The Lab was the highlight of the CATT booth, with its massive TV screens and eye catching visualization tools. The CATT Lab was able to display its regional integrated transportation information system (RITIS) application, its 3-dimensional, real-time traffic monitoring (virtual helicopter) system, and virtual incident management training program. Not only did CATT Lab director Michael Pack speak during the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination Program special session but he also hosted a tour of the CATT Lab. More than twenty conference attendees were shuttled from the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center to the CATT Lab?s new home in the Kim Building where they got to see firsthand the work the faculty, staff, and students employed by the CATT Lab are doing. For more information about year?s Annual Meeting visit ITS America?s Event Highlight?s page.
