Three papers by NEXTOR authors won "Best Paper Awards" at the Air Traffic Management (ATM) R&D seminar held June 27-30 in Baltimore, MD.

Professor Michael Ball of the University of Maryland was presented the award in the Traffic Flow Optimization category for the paper titled ?Response Mechanisms for Dynamic Air Traffic Flow Management.? His co-authors were Avijit Mukherjee and David Lovell of the University of Maryland, and Robert Hoffman of Metron Aviation, Inc.

Associate Professor David Lovell of the University of Maryland was presented the award in the Metrics and Performance Management category for the paper titled ?Modeling Delays and Cancellation Probabilities to Support Strategic Simulations.? His co-authors were Michael Ball and Avijit Mukherjee of the University of Maryland and Amedeo Odoni and Gregory Zerbib of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tatjana Bolic of the University of California at Berkeley shared the award in the Human Factors category for the paper titled ?User Request Evaluation Tool (URET) Adoption and Adaptation; Three Center Case Study.? Her co-author was Mark Hansen of U.C. Berkeley.
