The Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department's celebration plans for it's Centennial in April 2008 recently got a strong show of support from Clark Construction Group. With a generous donation of $10,000, Clark Construction is the "Gold" level sponsor of a table at the Centennial Gala on Saturday, April 5, 2008.

Clark Construction Group is associated with Mr. A. James Clark, a CEE alumni and a long-time benefactor of the Department. The company is responsible for building structures such as, the MCI Center, FedEx Field, and Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Clark Construction has transformed the physical environment in the region and beyond. Other notable area projects include building the National Museum of the American Indian, the Performing Arts Center at Strathmore Hall, the Washington Convention Center, the Automated People Mover at Washington Dulles Airport, the International Monetary Fund Headquarters, the U.S. Department of Transportation Headquarters, and National Archives II nearby the Maryland campus.
