ENCE688A- Advanced Topics in Civil Engineering: Sensing and Systems Control (3 credits)

Grade Method: REG/AUD.

Description:

This course covers sensing materials, sensing principle and devices, sensor data acquisition and signal processing, system identification, feedback control techniques, sensor-driven structural reliability assessment and updating, and application to civil engineering field. The past decade has seen growing use of sensors and structural control technology in civil infrastructures around the world. Students taking this course will gain an appreciation of both theories and experiments related to control, sensory, and diagnostic systems components.
