Deutches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW, German Institute for Economic Research) in Berlin, Germany appointed CEE's Dr. Steven Gabriel as a DIW Research Professor. This appointment is in recognition of the energy policy modeling work from professor Gabriel's sabbatical visits during 2007-2008 and anticipated future research and training efforts. DIW has a global reputation as an economic think-tank and center of excellence in research especially with a policy focus. The initial appointment is for three years.
