Dr. Steven Gabriel (Civil Eng.) and Dr. Shapour Azarm (Mech. Eng.) recently won a three-year grant with the Office of Naval Research (ONR) for $362,425. The focus of the work is to develop robust optimization methods to solve multi-objective problems in engineering design that contain a mixture of continuous and discrete variables.
